Mollie Payment Gateway Configuration for CompanySync

Steps to Set Up Mollie

1. Obtain Your Mollie API Key

  1. Log in to your Mollie account (or create an account if you don’t have one).
  2. Navigate to:
    • Developers -> API Keys in your Mollie dashboard.
  3. Select the API Key:
    • You will see two sections:
      • Test API Key: Use this for testing purposes.
      • Live API Key: Available once your website profile is verified by Mollie’s team.
  4. Copy the API key you want to use for your CompanySync installation.

2. Configure Mollie in CompanySync

  1. In CompanySync, go to:
    • Setup -> Settings -> Payment Gateways -> Mollie.
  2. Paste the API Key (Test or Live) into the appropriate field.
  3. Save the settings.
  4. If using the Test API Key:
    • Enable the Test Mode option in CompanySync.

Important Notes

  • ModSecurity:
    • If ModSecurity is enabled on your server, it may interfere with Mollie’s webhook functionality. Contact your hosting provider to disable ModSecurity for your CompanySync installation.
  • Test Environment:
    • Use the Test API Key to simulate transactions before enabling the live environment.

Testing Your Mollie Integration

  1. Create a dummy customer in CompanySync.
  2. Generate an invoice for this customer.
  3. Enable Mollie as a payment mode for the invoice:
    • Under Allowed Payment Modes, select Mollie.
  4. Preview the invoice as the customer:
    • In the admin area, click More -> View Invoice as Customer.
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the invoice, select Mollie, and click Pay Now to simulate payment.

Additional Recommendations

  • Webhook Configuration:
    • Ensure the webhook URL is correctly set in the Mollie dashboard to allow automatic updates of invoice statuses in CompanySync.
  • Live Environment:
    • After testing, switch to the Live API Key and disable Test Mode.
